"Maybe if we were blind, we would be more tolerable."

The saddest part of being a wedding photographer for me personally is leaving.
Knowing that the people you just hung out with all day and shared incredible times with will go back home, you'll probably never see them again.
It's a bummer, and I, as a wedding photographer, find it very hard- and consider it a challenging part of my craft.

Capturing those moments and joy when loved ones celebrate their auspicious moments together always gives me a better feel for the story.

But some moments and stories touch the heart and always bring a smile to your face whenever you think of them.
Especially when a dad says goodbye to his daughter and later reminisces about how he blossomed with her.

One moment in the delightful Herrlich Ehrlich in the heart of Trier I captured will always be an extraordinary memoir in my albums, Where a father gave his speech to his daughter on her special day when he put on a blue wig in a punk style.

Doing that, he rewinds to the time by stating that he had an intense dislike towards the guy
dating his daughter in the past. Back then, the guy she dated, had an outlook of a punk guy look with colored hair and a flamboyant personality. The father had an intense dislike which used to be quite noticeable in his behavior. He added, "It was painful to see a PUNK mohawk weasel dating my daughter that wears mismatched converse with piercings and dyed hair (as if he was from the 70s band).

He further stated that for some time, we didn't talk until my birthday. I received a strange gift from my daughter; it was a puppet dressed in a punk outfit with a note saying, "Maybe if we were blind, we would be more tolerable."This struck a chord in me and made me realize that what truly matters is how much they love each other.

The profound realization made the father keep this puppet safe for almost 25 years and return it to her daughter on her special day when she was just about to tie the knot with the man she always loved.

I, as a photographer, genuinely loved the moment, as the story moved me. The photographs I clicked while seeing that overwhelming moment reflected the essence of authentic photography, which is all about getting others to feel.

A picture might not reflect thousands of words. Still, it depicts hundreds of feelings and how even the most simple images with minor detail can impact its story most beautifully.
